An equipment guide to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

Introduction
Hello again victims,

In this guide we'll be looking various different items you can loot in Battlegrounds, such as;
  • Medical items
  • Weapon attachments
  • Helmets
  • Vests
  • Misc information

Stick around and enjoy the read.
Please note that this guide is very much still work in progress as I have a lot of images left to get in game for you, but the guide will be updated daily, if not hourly.

Backpacks
Backpacks are the main support for allowing you to carry your inventory.
You'll find all equipable items such as backpacks, vests and helmets follow a 3 level system
Each level has it's own values better than the previous ones.

Level 1 Backpack

Noticable by it's slightly bright biege colour, the Lvl 1 backpack should be picked up ASAP if you do not have any backpack on when coming across it.
The level 1 backpack comes with +150 capacity
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 2 Backpack

The level 2 backpack is identifiable by it's dark green apperance, though is backpack infact comes in two forms;
  • Dark Green
  • Lighter green w/ dirty yellow trim
The level 2 backpack comes with +200 capacity
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Level 3 Backpack

Easily identifiable bu it's distinct small, yet fat shape the level 3 easily is the best option for your carrying capacity.
The level 3 backpack comes with +250 capacity

(Working on finding another lvl 3 backpack for the same screens as lvl 1 or 2)
Vests
Vests are possibly one of the most useful pieces of equipment in the game.
Functioning simular to a backpack, they improve your carrying capacity however sacrifice some of that capacity for armor to help your chances of survival on the battleground.

Police Vest level 1

The Police Vest lvl 1 is pretty hard to miss in most areas, it's bright grey and can stick out like a sore thumb, though on the flip side that colour helps a lot for blending in on rocky surfaces.
The Police Vest lvl 1 comes with +50 carrying Capacity and 200 armor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Police Vest level 2

The Police Vest lvl 2, unlike it's downgrade can be pretty hard to spot in some darker areas around the map.
The lvl 2 vest provides not only a small armor buff but the colour black really does help you blend in, for some it's a fashion statement to match their black longcoats.
The Police Vest lvl 2 also comes with +50 capacity but offers and additonal 220 armor points.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Military Vest level 3

Don't be confused by the name, the Military Vest lvl 3 is the upgrade to the Police Vest lvl 2.
I'd like to stress that currently there is no Police Vest Lvl 3 or Military Vest lvl 1/2
This vest will make you look beefy, make you look ready to take on the world and it will also provide you with a small amount of comfert knowing you can tank a lot more damage than your friends.
The Military Vest lvl 3 also comes with +50 capacity though offers a whopping 250 armor points.

Helmets
Helmets are a no-brainer in this game. You either wear one or you risk losing your head in one shot.
Unlike in other Battle Royale games you cannot carry spare helmets around with you, so make them count!

Helmet level 1

Looks goofy but gets the job done.
This will protect you from weak bullets but ultimately you should look for a higher level asap.
The lvl 1 helm provides you with 80 armor protection
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helmet level 2

Personally, I feel that you should make it your goal to look for a level 2 helmet just as much as you would a weapon when spawning, this helmet not only offers greater protection but also looks cool.
The lvl 2 helm provides you with 150 armor points.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Helmet level 3

Who said the head is a weakspot?
The level 3 helmet is the ultimate headshot ♥♥♥♥-block tool in the game, this beast can stop those pesky SKS and KAR98K 1 shot headshots that the previous two couldn't, however be cautious around AWMs, they are the only weapon in the game at this point that can one ♥♥♥♥ kill you with this helmet equipped.
Medication and boosters
There's no player who's ballsy enough to chose not to carry meds in Battlegrounds.

Unlike other games, Battlegrounds has a pretty unique medication system,
You can only heal up to 75% of your maximum HP bar then most medication items will no longer work, we'll discuss how boosters come into play to filling that final 25% as well as the perks of boosters.

Bandages:

Bandages are a small HP recovery item to help tide you over, unlike over BR games Battlegrounds does not have a bleed mechanic, so you don't have to worry about carrying bandages too much, but it's still nice to keep some for topping your HP up at any given time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First Aid Kits

The First Aid kits will become your best friend in the Battleground, this guy heals you immedietly to 75% and they're not too uncommon to find as well, meaning you can stack these guys and prepare for a lengthy battle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Med Kits

Med Kits are the best healing item in the game, instantly medding you to 100% hp.
Nothing more to say here, they're pretty hard to come by but you can stack them if you find multiple!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Energy Drinks

The energy drink heal you above that 75% mark, but it's worth using multple for reasons I will explain in the next section.
The Energy drink will boost your boost bar by 40, providing you with a small heal over time.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Painkillers

Painkillers will also heal you above the 75% mark, and are slightly more powerful than the Energy Drink
Painkillers will boost your boost bar by 60, providing you with a slightly bigger heal over time than the Enegry Drink.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Adrenaline

Can only be found in airdrops.
Taking an Adrenaline shot will instantly fill your boost bar to 100%, ensuring you get the boost buffs instantly for the longest possible time.
Understanding the boost bar
When you use boosters (Energy Drinks and Painkillers) you will be greeted by a bar in the bottom middle of your screen.

This bar is split into thirds and comes with 2 buffs.
The first buff is that during the whole time the bar is on your screen you will gain health over time helping you keep on top of your game even mid combat.

The second buff is a speed boost, all those pills and energy drinks will make you so hyper your character will gain a good speed buff.

You can see these if these buffs are working by noticing the two buff icons located just above the boost bar on the right side.

NOTE:
There was a 3rd buff in the alpha where you got less bullet spread when above a certain amount, however at this time I cannot see a 3rd icon symbolizing that so I am unsure if the spread buff is still in the game.
Fill up your boost bar and tell me if you notice your aim suddenly getting better. ;)
Weapon attachments overview
Every firearm in the game can be modified with various attachments, these will increase your draw time, accuracy, reduce recoil, help you aim more effectively

Barrel attachments:

Compensator:
Compensators help lower recoil, turning those ARs into good sniper rifle replacements.

Suppressor:
Supressors dampen the sound of your shots, making it harder for the enemy to locate your position

Flash Hider:
Flash hiders help reduce, if not completley berid of your weapons muzzle flash when firing, this helps you stay hidden as the enemy can no longer look for the "Flash" that comes from your shot.

Choke:
Chokes are only used on the pump action and under-over shotgun, they tighten the spread and ensure longer range.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Butt attachments:

Bullet loops:
Bullet loops provide you with a quicker draw and faster reload speed.

Cheek pad:
Cheek pads increase stability while aiming in, reducing sway of the scope.

Tactical stocks:
Some weapons can be attached with a tactical stock, these stability also.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Grip attachments:

Angled foregrip:
Increase your ADS and draw time, however sacrifices a little stability for that speed.

Vetical foregrip:
Increases stability, helping you hit shots easier.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Magazine attachments:

Quickdraw Magazine:
The quickdraw mag increases your reload speed.

Extended Magazine:
Extends the amount of ammo you can hold in your weapon.
You must reload your weapon upon equiping the magazine to get your extra ammo! This magazine also has a slower reload then the default magazine, so be careful!

Extended Quickdraw Magazine:
Best of both worlds! You can hold more ammo can reload that ammo quicker.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sight attachments:

Red Dot Sight:
A simple red dot sight, helping you shoot enemies without the clutter of your iron sights.

Holographic sight:
Provides a little more information than the red dot with it's own design, giving you a circle for centering the scope properly as well as a middle dot for your predicted target area.
The holographic sight also zooms in a little more than the red dot sight.

4x Scope:
The beginning scope for many of the sniper players, the 4x scope (ACOG) has a simple to follow design, your predicted target area in the center then ranges downwards for further shots measured in 100m marks.

8x Scope:
The first true sniper scope, very simple and easy to use and has a simple to follow design, a simple cross pattern for shooting your enemies, also has small markings to help aim for further distance.

15x Scope:
The real scope for long distance shooting enthusiasts, just like the 8x it's very simple and easy to use, provides overwhelming range.

Huge shoutout to Shepherd for getting his hands on this!
Misc items
Gas Can:

Gas cans can be used to refill your vehicle, cannot be shot to make an explosion sadly.
To use the gas you simply sit in side the car you want to refuel then right click the item in your inventory.

Utility belt
Every player gets one of these in their inventory at the start of the game, make sure to equip it as it gives you an additional +50 carrying capacity.

This area will be updated when more misc items are added into the game, I will not be covering clothing in this guide.
Conclusion
